The pig stunning cage is made entirely of stainless steel.
The animal is trapped inside the cage where it is anesthetized using a special electrical stunning device. Afterwards, the side exit door is opened pneumatically and the stunned animal is discharged on a reception counter. The animal is then suspended on the electric carcass elevator with the assistance of roller hooks and elevated to the tubular bleeding line.
